Open-Face Marquee Letters
Exposed lamp or neon in an open pan. Theater fronts, taprooms, anything that wants to look 1948.
An open-face letter has no acrylic at all. The pan is open and the light source — exposed neon or bulbs — is the visual. It is a specialty build and it reads as one.
These go on theater marquees, restored downtown facades, breweries and any project where the designer wants the hardware to be part of the look. Expect a longer lead time than a standard letter set and plan the service access up front.
