Mounting Options
Raceways, saddle mount, pole-in-pole, match plate and cantilever — the parts that keep it up.
The sign is half the job. How it attaches to the building or the ground decides whether the install takes an afternoon or a week, whether the wall needs one penetration or twenty, and whether it survives the first real wind.
We fabricate the mounting as part of the sign, not as an afterthought sourced separately. Below is what we build.
How we build it
- Wire raceway
- An enclosure carrying wiring and power supplies behind a letter set so the wall takes one penetration instead of many. Standard sizes 6″H × 5″D and 12″H × 5″D.
- Shoebox raceway
- Raceway integrated into a shoebox cabinet where the wiring must be fully concealed.
- Channel letter on panel
- A letter set mounted to a panel with a concealed wire raceway — one clean unit to hang, custom sizes, fonts and colors, illuminated or not.
- Saddle mount
- Saddle brackets welded to the top and bottom of the cabinet. The pole passes through a saddle guide bracket at the bottom and secures to the top bracket. Single or double pole.
- Pole mount
- Elevated on one or more poles with center or side mounting, for flexibility in placement.
- Pole-in-pole
- A smaller inner pole slides into an existing larger outer pole, with a sliding reinforcement ring to reduce lateral movement and distribute load, and a welded cap at the top. Used to retrofit or strengthen existing structure, with height adjustment available before welding.
- Match plate
- Two precisely fabricated steel plates welded to an existing pole base, built to the size of the sign, giving a solid connection capable of carrying wind load. Good for new installs and retrofits alike.
- Cantilever mounting
- The cabinet carried off one side of the structure rather than between supports.
- Standoff mounting
- Letters or panels held off the wall — structural, and required for any halo build.
Existing structure is never quite what the drawing says. Send photos and measurements of what is actually there and we will fabricate to that.
